About
Hi, I’m Luc. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Zurich University of the Arts.I’m passionate about sustainable, minimal design and strive to create functional, impactful solutions that rethink traditional approaches. I enjoy experimenting and working with a wide rangeof digital and analog tools to discover new methods and perspectives. When it comes to design, I value solutions that are clearly expressed through their design.
With rising temperatures, cities need new ways to keep public spaces cool. Our answer is bloc° – a modular cooling system made of terracotta, developed as part of our bachelor’s thesis. It uses water and solar-powered fans to create natural evaporative cooling in urban areas. Inspired by traditional and bionic techniques like wind towers and cacti, we combined natural principles with urban design. Throughout the process, we worked iteratively – exchanging ideas, building prototypes, and refining the system step by step. The result is a low-maintenance, efficient, and adaptable solution that blends into the city and brings relief on hot days.
