About

HiI am SriSubhiksha from Kingston university, currently pursuing Graduate diploma.I did my Bachelor in Fashion from India with best graduation project award.Although I did my major in Fashion designing,I am always interested in textile designing as I believe overall look can be complete only with unique textile and silhouette and so I have choosen textile as my Inter-disciplinary major in my bachelor.During the course,I have explored different textiles such as print : weave and hand embroidery. I also worked with an Indian craft named Kala cotton collaborating with artisans of Kala cotton for one of my major project where I developed interest for weave.I have one year work experience in a sustainable designer brand named Amita Gupta Sustainable from India which closely work with jamdani craft of West Bengal, and so I have in depth knowledge and experience on weaving. My work experience taught me to understand brand aesthetic and consumer profile while designing  unique and creative textile and silhouette that are bound to their cost  range and also  suitable for reproduction in less time consumption if its ready to wear collection. DURING MY WORKING PHASE,I REALISED THE IMPORTANCE OF BRAND IDENTITY AND SO I DECIDED TO DO POST GRADUATION STUDY TO DEVELOP SELF IDENTITY WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY HELP ME TO SET MY BRAND IDENTITY.THIS IS MY JOURNEY IN THE 8 years Fashion world

Capstone project[University Brief] - An extended self-directed response to a theme creating 3D LOOK with proper blend of textile and fashion that justifies my design aesthetic as a creative practitioner. This capstone project is the ultimate expression of my identity - RUSH Busy urban city life blurs day and night creating an illusion of constant motion. The connection between city life: motion : illusion excites me in exploring infinite prints for the collection.
