My name is Jiawei Fang, I am a 2025 graduate of the BA(Hons) Fashion Jewelry program at the London College of Fashion (UAL). With a passion for jewelry, illustration, travel, and baking, I find inspiration in both everyday life and cultural exploration. My current research focuses on the innovative integration of traditional Chinese medicine elements with various materials in jewelry design. Through this approach, I aim to blend heritage and contemporary aesthetics, creating pieces that are not only visually striking but also rich in cultural significance.
This collection merges traditional Chinese herbal incense with contemporary fashion jewelry, transforming fragrance into a form of wearable art. Each incense bead is meticulously crafted using ancient herbal formulas, embodying the essence of centuries-old traditions. Each piece becomes a living object that not only elevates personal style but also creates a sensory aesthetic space, infused with Oriental beauty. Creating Scented Legacy has been one of the most intimate and transformative experiences of my design journey. This collection was born not just from an artistic impulse, but from a deeply personal period in my life—a moment where fear, responsibility, and emotional fragility converged. As I cared for my hospitalized family and maintained the neglected Buddhist shrine at home, I was unexpectedly introduced to a quiet ritualistic world that offered me solace and healing.
