About
Design Ecologist from Konstfack, with focus on sustainable furniture
As a counterpoint to globalization, I wanted to investigate how locally a sofa can be produced and highlight how outsourcing/offshoring affects Swedish production. With inspiration from the region in which I grew up, I designed and built a deconstructable sofa made of wool, pine and linen from Skåne. In my essay I elaborate on the friction between profit-making, sustainability and consumerism and try to find answers to what production should look like in the future.
