About
Having graduated from Central Saint Martins with First Class Honours in BA Architecture - the environment that taught me to rethink existing norms and challenge the boundaries of change through creativity, I view spatial design as an opportunity to reshape existing standards and surroundings in response to emerging environmental and social challenges, fostering a connection between humans and nature. My interests lie in the realm of environmental design, focusing on passive design strategies and biophilic principles that explore the symbiosis between natural settings and urban landscapes. I believe that a sensitive approach to people’s needs and a dialogue with the surrounding context have the power to contribute to a sustainable framework of architectural practice. My main aspiration is to design aesthetically harmonic spaces that would evoke thoughts and emotions, encourage exploration, and that one would want to explore and inhabit.
'Transforming the Landscape' is a project revitalising the site of Cornmill Gardens, where the natural topography is merged with the built environment. It presents Lewisham Creative Hub - a civic centre for knowledge exchange and creative development, where all activities are connected through the urban landscape. The project is focused on the provision of a cultural programme in the area with insufficient creative opportunities, on the involvement of teenagers, who lack social and artistic activities. in the life of the neighbourhood, and finally, on the collaboration with local artists and makers for mutual benefit. Passive environmental strategies, the use of sustainable renewable materials, and prioritising users' experience, along with a sensitive approach to the surroundings have shaped the proposal. It aims to support public mental well-being, encourage play and nature exploration, and allow flexibility of space use to conduct educational and cultural events that bring the entire community together.
