Designer with a background in product, graphic and communication design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Just finished Child Culture Design at HDK-Valand, dedicated to creating playful, hands-on experiences that allow children to express themselves creatively through collaboration. Her work focuses on construction toys and large-scale play for children aged 7–12, exploring how design can encourage agency and emotional connection. With a curiosity-driven approach and a strong belief in children as active participants in culture, she blends research, making, and imagination to design with, not just for, kids.
Play under construction is a large-scale, modular construction kit for children aged 7-12, designed to bring back the immersive, full-body play experiences that are often lost as children get older. Using real tools, ash wood pieces and bright, metal connectors children can collaboratively build life-sized structures, from forts, through creatures, to marble runs. All while developing creativity, agency over space and teamwork. The project challenges the shrinking scale of construction play, encouraging active problem-solving and physical engagement. Developed through iterative prototyping and workshops with children, it combines durable materials with open-ended design possibilities, making it adaptable to diverse spaces. More than a toy, it’s an invitation for children to shape their own environments and gain courage to use new, physical tools.
