I’m Eilidh Morley,
I graduated this year from Edinburgh College of Art with a first class degree in Animation.
I love making handcrafted 2D animations as well as experimenting with eco plant-based analogue potions!
I’m happy when I’m making physical art with my hands, listening to good music, and then seeing the animation magic come together when it starts moving!
DEÒ is about place - exploring our relationship with the land and women's ecological knowledge. Shot in rural Galloway, Scotland, it weaves in Celtic folklore (Bean Nighe, Hawthorn trees) and ancient practices rooted in the landscape. These stories often carry ecological warnings and dark twists, resonating with today's environmental crisis. DEÒ is an organic film where process is considered equal to outcome. The medium is super 8 film developed in my homemade mint solution with added animation and mark-making overlayed.
