About
Maizie is a Dutch-Curaçaoan fashion designer who graduated at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute in 2025. Her previous designs have been linked to the changing culture around her and personal stories about growing up in Limburg. She designs for what she dreams about; a queer utopia in which cunty self-expression and exploration is celebrated. Her garments play with binary thinking through exploring the relationship between the human body and the material that covers and shapes it. Through her work, she highlights the importance of love, friendship and community; creating designs that queer people can recognize themselves and each other in.
Tutti Frutti is an unapologetic celebration of lesbian identity and sexuality. It brings lesbians together in a world that often feels grey, sexless and muted. Drawing from iconic symbols and dictionary in lesbian culture, like the carabiner and U-hauling, her garments are meant to be worn as tools of connection. Fruity feminine colors, unconventional silhouettes and glistening rhinestones break free from the silence, encouraging lesbians to embrace their sexuality. By evoking a sense of community and fostering real-life connections; this collection encourages all lesbians (all fruits) to stand tall, express themselves and revel in the vibrancy of who they are.
