About
I am an award-winning MArch graduate of the Manchester School of Architecture, with an additional degree in mathematics and physics. I enjoy applying my scientific background to all aspects of architecture, optimising workflows through a computational design approach. By outsourcing applied tasks to a computer, I am able to focus on the true core of architecture — its human side.
The project explores the consequences of cities that are fully reliant on digital technology and cloud services. As long as the technology functions, the system can operate. But what would happen if, one day, the digital backbone were to cease to exist? Despite designing a dystopia was never the main goal — but it was necessary in order to explore a new architectural typology — the Megatower, a failed vertical digital city. Unable to exist without its digital overlay, the Megatower had to be adapted to the new environment, making Arocalypse an adaptive reuse project, extrapolated on a post-technological skyline.
