About
Menswear fashion designer specializing tailoring and utilitarian workwear. My creative mind is drawn to technical menswear, rooted in precision, functionality, and craftsmanship. I have always been a person driven by structures and numbers, and turning this into a creative fashion designer mind has been an eye-opening process.
Inspired by the intersection of heritage, culture, and contemporary design, I focus on creating garments that balance structure and versatility, dedicated to refine the relationship between form and function.
Futhark explores traditional Swedish communities - the Farmer, the Miner, the Industrial Worker, the Fisherman, the Viking Warrior, and the Sami Reindeer Herder - reflecting on the deep and interwoven relationships between individuals and their environment. Each community demonstrates a reciprocal influence with the environment and reflects Sweden's historical resilience, where harsh landscapes have shaped cultural identity, and the tension between rural and urban, tradition and modernity, nature and industry. Futhark celebrates these communities with respect and authenticity, showcasing a harmonious balance of heritage and modernity. At the heart of this concept lies the cyclical relationship between people and the environment: as our environments mold societal and cultural structures, so do we reshape the world around us. This collection invites a reflection on how modern Swedish society can learn from its historical communities to create a more balanced and sustainable relationship with its surroundings.
